The Zoo Med Deluxe Porcelain Clamp Lamp is a heavy-gauge painted aluminum fixture with a heat-resistant ceramic socket, designed to assist in maintaining your pet reptile's ideal temperature.
Ectothermic reptiles rely on external sources such as the sun for warmth, as they are unable to produce their own body heat. They utilize this heat energy to maintain their bodily functions, digest food and stay healthy. Therefore, heat lamps are necessary to provide the heat required by reptiles.
Instructions for Use:
To set up the Zoo Med Deluxe Porcelain Clamp Lamp, simply screw the bulb into the socket and plug the cord into the outlet or timer. Test the on/off switch to ensure the bulb turns on. Place the lamp on top of the mesh screen that covers your terrarium, positioning it above the basking area on the far right or left to create an optimal temperature gradient for your pet reptile.
