The VE-100 model by Vivarium Electronics is a budget-friendly option, offering the basic features found in other Vivarium Electronics thermostats. It is the most affordable model in their product line, and can accommodate up to 700 watts. This thermostat operates on a simple on/off mechanism, turning off the connected heating devices when the temperature exceeds the set limit detected by the probe. Once the temperature drops to the selected level, the unit automatically turns the heating devices back on.

One of the notable features is the stacking cases, allowing multiple thermostats to be stacked for a neat and professional appearance. The probe and fuse can be easily replaced by the user without having to open the case, and the probe cord locks in place to prevent accidental unplugging. A 6' power cord and probe are included with the unit.
