The Fluker's 8.5" Ceramic Clamp Lamp is a black ceramic clamp lamp that can hold up to 150 watts with a built in on/off switch.
Ectothermic reptiles rely on external sources such as the sun for warmth, as they are unable to produce their own body heat. They utilize this heat energy to maintain their bodily functions, digest food and stay healthy. Therefore, heat lamps are necessary to provide the heat required by reptiles.
Instructions for Use:
To create a comfortable environment for your pet, position the lamp at a higher point on one end of the terrarium. This allows your pet to retreat to the cooler side if needed. Make sure to provide a structure that allows your pet to climb up towards the lamp. Avoid placing food or water directly under the lamp to prevent any potential hazards.
To prevent fire and ensure safety, please observe the following precautions when using this product: DO NOT allow it to come into contact with flammable materials such as carpet and draperies. DO NOT use it in wet conditions. UNCOIL the cord before use and DO NOT splice, repair, or modify it. DO NOT use it in a damaged condition or exceed its electrical ratings. Always fully insert plugs and unplug the product when not in use. Keep children away from the product at all times. This product is intended for use above screen top reptile enclosures and should NOT be used inside any animal cage or enclosure, to protect the animal from burns and reduce the risk of fire.
For safety reasons, this portable lamp comes with a polarized plug, where one blade is wider than the other. This feature reduces the risk of electric shock, as the plug can fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, simply reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, please contact a qualified electrician. To avoid any hazards, it is important to never use this lamp with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Please do not alter the plug in any way.
